happy easter!

Oh what a weekend. What an emotional weekend. Happy. Sad. Blessed. Grateful. You name it.

Friday night I got together with my favorite group of work ladies. We threw a baby shower for Heather and her adorable babe, Andrew. We had such a good time! We usually do when we are together. Seriously, I know some pretty AMAZING women and I am truly blessed to work with them, past and present!

On a side note: Amy Platt has the COOLEST house EVER! She lives in this farm house that could be in a movie. Seriously. There are dogs, chickens, and miniature goats running around on the farm and through the house! It was chaos and I loved it! Plus, she has this antique ferris wheel that is SO awesome!
P.S. Isn't this goat the cutest thing EVER?! I want it.

LOVE these ladies!

Saturday we spent the day in Grace, Idaho. Daren's sweet aunt, Jeanne, passed away last week after battling cancer for several years. Her funeral was Saturday. It was such a beautiful service and there were so many wonderful things said. Jeanne was such a great example to her family. She will be missed very much. I am so grateful to know that I will get to see her again. I know she will be watching over her family and comforting them at this hard time.

Saturday night we dyed easter eggs with James and Susi. No kids. Just adults. It was pretty awesome. We had a good time!

Here I am praying about which color I should use first. I chose pink.

Sunday was Easter and we had a big Easter dinner at James and Susi. It was complete with LOTS of food and an easter egg hunt! It was chaotic and there was many too many people in a tiny place but I LOVED it!
How cute is this picture?!

This weekend has brought a new perspective of life for me, especially family. I feel so much closer to Louie and his kids after this weekend. It makes me sad that it brought the death of their wife and mother for it to happen but I'm so grateful for them! They are such amazing people and I want to get to know them better. I am so grateful for my family, both of my families. I'm so grateful that we are close and we can lean on each other in times of need.

Love you guys!
