the boat lives again!

Saturday the boys worked on the boat ALL day. Daren left at 7:30 in the morning and we got home around midnight Saturday. Granted we did go to a "family reunion" for about 2 hours. But still.....ALL DAY!

We got it started Sunday afternoon...but that doesn't mean anything. We got it started last year but when we got it on the water it wouldn't move. Super annoying.

ANYWHO!

We took it out for a test run last night and IT RUNS! WOOT!

We got to the marina and it started to rain. But we went out anyways. Daren was the only smart one and wore his swimming suit. Between the rain and the water splashing up on us, Susi and I got SO wet! It was pretty hilarious!

P.S. These were taken with my phone so they aren't the best....

Look at those boys.
Aren't they so cute?!

Hello almost flat tire...if it's not one thing, it's another.

Puppy was ready to go home. The boat isn't his favorite place to be.

We're taking it out to the lake on Saturday and I'm SO excited! Hopefully it still works! You never know if that boat.

I guess I'll have to find another name for the boat besides Satan now....maybe Satan's Uncle?

P.S. I'm not sure why my fonts are different but it's kind of annoying.

happy birthday hyde park

Another glorious weekend has come and gone! Too fast if I do say so myself

Last week I watch Angie's kids while she was at Youth Conference. We played with the slip n' slide a lot and was AWESOME! Except now it has holes in it...guess I'll have to buy a new one! I think Bear is happy that there aren't children around. He likes my attention to be on him...and not 3 other children.

Even Bear got in on the pool action!

We also found out this week that Angie and kids WILL NOT be moving across the country anymore! I won't lie, I'm pretty happy about it. I was DREADING the day I would have to say good bye to my monkey!!

Friday night we went out to Hyde Park to celebrate their 150th birthday with a BBQ and FIREWORKS! I LOVE Hyde Park's fireworks. They are like, RIGHT THERE, in your face and it totally rocks!

Oh man, I love him!

HA! This kid is growing on me too!

Little buddies.
Actually...I think Monkey really likes Bear and wants to play with him all the time but Bear just gets annoyed by him. AND! Monkey takes a lot of mama time which Bear does NOT like.

Love me some summer sunsets!

Puppy was NOT thrilled being on his leash OR the fireworks!

Saturday morning we got a call from Daren's mom asking us if we would be in the parade so the kids could throw candy out of the bed. BOO YEAH! We got ready, bought some supplies to make the truck look fancier and then off we went! It was SO fun!

Hyde Park was honoring their founders this weekend and one of the founders was a Hancey! Which, in case you don't know, is Daren's mom's maiden name. In short, he is a relative. HOLLA!

Such an awesome picture...

The rest of the day we relaxed and had this little guy over for dinner...well and his parents.

Good times.

4th of july

Oh my, how I love the 4th of July!

Our weekend was PACKED with food, fireworks, and FUN!

Friday night we went over to James and Susi's for a BBQ and to watch the fireworks from the stadium.

These guys made....

these!

We drank homemade root beer.

I snuggled Monkey while we woke up from his nap...and LOVED it!

SPARKLERS!

I SUCK at taking pictures of fireworks. Usually Daren does it but he was inside with puppy.
Bear does NOT like fireworks.

Saturday my parents came up, we got from grub and then met up with Daren's family at the Cruise-In parade.

How can this car even be drivable?!

I LOVE these old trucks!

This is a snowmobile...with 2 tires on the front. The track was smoking SO bad! Apparently, whoever owns this doesn't care about the machine...or money...

Something spilled on the blanket.
Monkey was more concerned about cleaning it than actually watching the cars.

Check out this awesome sunset! KILLER!

And Monday we out to Hyrum for the parade, had dinner at Daren's parents house, and then went up to our old stake center in Millville to watch the Hyrum fireworks.

I want one.

Happy birthday Swink!
Don't worry, we know him.

If only we had another day to recover from all the fun!
