This weekend has definately been an eventful weekend, full of holiday bliss. Friday night we carved pumpkins for Pumpkin Party on Saturday. Last year when choosing a pumpkin I chose the biggest pumpkin I could find. Go big or go home, right? Anywho. You should all be familiar with my attention span, or lack there of. Last year I got about 3 minutes into scooping out the guts of the pumpkin when I got bored. This left Daren to finish the pumpkin. Since this experience he has learned this lesson several times so this year he told me I had to get a smaller one. I was sad but knew it was for the better. I am happy to report I scooped and carved the entire pumpkin this year. I only had Daren help me make it look perfect. I am hard at work here...as you can see...
This is the final project. This is a better shot. Mine is the bottom one. It's a bat. As you can see, it's much smaller than Lacey's..
Then on Saturday we went to Daren's family Halloween/Pumpkin party. There was delicious food, games, and a pinata for the little ones. We even blew up the rotten pumpkins in the garden. Good times all around. This is Susi and I with our vampire teeth that tasted like gasoline...
Little Luiz showing off his big ninja muscles..he absoulutely adores Daren, it's so cute.
So every year his family has a candy corn spitting contest to see who can spit their candy corn the furthest. Small town fun I know, but it was so amusing. AND! I am happy to report my amazing soon to be husband won in the men's division and over all. WHICH MEANS!! Since I am apart of him, I win too! And I love to win!!
I love this picture. This is Angie, Daren's sister, and her son, Luiz. They are both ideal.
Now I am going to take a nap. The end.

what's the deal?
As of late when I come home from a long day playing with children and creating fantastic art projects, I really don't feel like doing much of anything....except putting on some jazzy tunes and trying on all of my clothes. I find that it is very relaxing. I usually don't take off any of the clothes I wore to work, I just start to layer. I usually end up looking something like this....but I'm a girl and this is a boy.
I'm not really sure what my deal is but I'm not complaining. It's a good time. I would definitely recommend it. Although you must make sure you have enough ambition to clean the clothes up or else your room will look like mine...a complete disaster.
eh.

just a few things..
hi friends. just a few things to share.
one. i got a new job. i'm an assistant speech pathologist for Logan City School District. I work at a pre school down on the island...most of you probably don't know where that is. It's just a part of Logan. Anywho, its a pre school for kids who have speech problems. I basically do arts and crafts with them all day. It great. Yesterday I came home with marker all over me and today it was glitter. So far its really fun. I love it.
two. my little brother, shane went on his first date last weekend. he went to Cottonwood's homecoming. he's looked so cute...at least from what i can tell in the pictures. don't you agree? i can't believe he is dating. i still picture him as a little 13 year old boy. as my dad calls him, his 12 year old crown colony son.
three. daren wants to me take a drivers ed class again. apparently i hit a lot of pot holes and thats bad for your car...
four. i just finished a new craft project last night. it is so cute. you can't really tell what it is from the picture. its a book and on one side is the proclamation and the other is this magical quote, a picture of the Logan temple, and a picture of daren and i. you paint it to make it look old and you glue all the pages shut so all you can look at is those two pages.

five. i really love to read everyones blogs. it makes me so happy to hear updates and what is happening..especially since i live in logan and can't be near.
i think that is all. life is good. woot.
