the pumpkin walk

Tuesday night Daren and myself, along with Susi and the babe, went to the pumpkin walk....and it was snowing.

When we first got there is was coming down like crazy. The child didn't like it. But it stopped after about 5 minutes of being there. It was so cold. But there weren't a lot of people there so we got through it wicked fast!

This year the theme was "The Magic of Animation." It was pretty cool. The Pumpkin Walk is something I look forward to every year. Usually we spend more time looking at the displays and playing in the face cut out things but due to the weather we made our trip fast....Can you blame us though?!

He hated this hat...too bad he looks so cute in it!

Poor child...don't worry he became happier as the night went on.

For some reason this reminded me of Daren...and Bear

I can't forget to mention the free cookies we got at the end! They were delicious, as usual! Plus they gave us 2! They must have had a smaller turnout this year. I blame the weather.

Tomorrow is Halloween at school! Can't wait to wear my costume!

pumpkin carvings

It's been raining all day today...I like the rain but I think the rain means the weather is changing. Good bye 70 degree weather...

Friday night we had Jody and Lacey, and Harley and Annie over to carve pumpkins. It was SO fun! Everyone's pumpkins turned out so great!

Look how cute they are!

Check out how creepy our house looked the other night...you know with the moon and all!

Saturday my parentals came up and it was grand! We went to lunch, took them to Gosner's for the first time, and to get Aggie ice cream. We were on our way to the pumpkin walk but then it started POURING! Don't worry Daren and I are going on Tuesday. I was just sad my parents couldn't experience it. Daren and I always love when my parents come up to visit! There is always food and good conversation involved...and Aggie ice cream!

Can't wait for the pumpkin walk this week and HALLOWEEN!

lunch dates

Every now and again I get to work from home which is totally ideal. Not only does the day go by faster because I can watch Beverly Hills 90210 online while I work, BUT I get to have lunch dates with my hubby!

Since the weather has been so nice we've been going to the park...well it's actually a church that has a huge field behind. Bear LOVES it! He gets to run his brains out while we eat!

I love being about to spend that hour with Daren. I know he loves it too. And Bear loves it. It's a win-win-win situation.

I broke out my new camera to snap a few pics!

Isn't this the cutest picture EVER?!

3 cheers for lunch dates! Love you baby!

oh me, oh my!

Is everyone LOVING this fall weather?! I know we are! We are actually having a REAL fall! It's a Christmas miracle! I LOVE it!!

Anywho, let me tell you what we have been up to!

First, we bought a new camera! I know, I know, we just bought one less than a year ago...and we LOVE it. However! We didn't always find it necessary to carry around a big camera so we went and bought a smaller one so I could carry it around in my purse to capture those "everyday moments." We love it! It's so small...it still makes me nervous to hold it because I'm used to holding our big camera.

We made cookies this weekend...I know it's totally random but oh well. We also celebrated Grandpa Don's birthday!

We cut our hammock down and threw it away...it was a really sad moment in our life. I not sure if I shared this with blog world but a couple of weeks ago we discovered a LARGE hole in our hammock. It was so big that it couldn't be fixed. We are 90% sure it was the children who live behind us that did it. Stupid kids.

It doesn't look that big but everything is so finely woven that it makes it nearly impossible to save.
Trust me, we tried...

On a happier note, we OFFICIALLY own the truck! We made our last payment last night and we have the title in our possession! No more truck payments! WOOT! WOOT!

I made the lady at the credit union to take a picture of us with the title. Can you sense the happiness?! What makes it even better, is that the lady at the credit union was just as happy for us as we were!

That's the scoop. Word.

again, another uneventful update

Oh how I love this time of year! The weather is brisk and it smells like rotting foliage...a.k.a. FALL!

It's been pretty low key around here which we are TOTALLY loving! Daren and I were saying today how it's so nice to be able to relax and not have to run around town all weekend trying to get things done. We are soaking it all up, because we know in the next month or so that we will be busy celebrating all the fun events that are coming up!

I put up our fall decor last weekend. Slowly but surely, we are collecting super cute decorations! I LOVE it!

P.S. These aren't all my decorations. I figured people wouldn't want to see every single item in my house. If you do...well you'll get over it. I promise. Or you can come visit. Whichever comes first.

This is my favorite of my decorations this year.
But the stupid wind and rain keep knocking everything over!
Hopefully the weather will be calmer this week and I will able to keep everything outside. That little scarecrow is so fragile and could fly away quite easily.
P.S. The pumpkin is my most recent fall decoration purchase.

Last weekend was also conference and it rocked my world! This year was the first year that I can remember actually staying awake for both sessions on Sunday! Go me!

Tuesday I had the day off due to SEP conferences at the school. I decided to take Monkey on a hot date with me! We went to McDonalds, the mall, Walmart and to see Uncle Daren at work. We had such a great time. I sure do love that little kid. And he LOVED riding in the truck and seeing all the big trucks at Daren's work. One of the salesmen asked him if he was going to buy a truck and he said yes! It was rather adorable.

These pictures were taken with my phone so they aren't the best.
You still get the idea that he is so freaking cute.

On a side note: I have decided that most children are annoying...and have no manners. No offense to those who have children, I'm sure yours are different. :) But when we were at McDonald's I was watching all these children play and I swear all their manners went out the window. Especially boys that are like 7 or 8. One child was climbing all over the playground and kicking little kids in the head. He didn't even care! I finally said something to him. And THEN I had to pull an aggressive 5 year old off of Monkey. She was like malling him in the corner. I think she was in love with him. But I think she noticed he was wearing hearing aides and maybe her motherly instincts kicked in and she felt like she had to take care of him. I don't know. But it was intense.

Also, Daren and I went to Sam's Club last night...one of my favorite places to shop...we decided grab some food at their little food area for dinner. And let me tell you, one of the ladies that works there gives me ANXIETY! Even just watching her gives me anxiety. She is crazy and spastic! She reminds Daren of Mimi from The Drew Carey show. Not so much the body type but the make up!

Anywho! Next week is UEA and I plan on cleaning out my fridge. You may feel bad for me BUT I actually REALLY love cleaning out my fridge. Don't judge me.
