Happy New Years! I can't believe it is 2017! I keep hearing that 2016 was a terrible a year...I don't feel that way. I thought it was a great year. Lots of changes!! New callings, new job for Daren, school starting for Daren, and a baby! Plus, you throw in surgeries and all of that fun stuff. I will definitely say the last half of year was much busier than the first half! We can't wait to see what 2017 brings!! Especially meeting our little babe!
We celebrated the new year at James and Susi's house. We played games all night. I didn't even take one picture! Good times!
Right before the new year, James and Susi had their 3rd baby. It is a BOY! They didn't find out until he was born so the anticipation was killing everyone! Sweet Cooper Jenks was born December 27th. He's a cutie and we love him!
We had 2 big birthdays this month too! Bear turned 9 years old and Daren turned 37! Love my boys so much!!
We celebrated Bear's birthday with cheeseburgers! His favorite!
We celebrated Daren's birthday all week! Starting with Sunday dinner. His mom made him the most perfect cake for him! It was so creative and thoughtful. Daren LOVED it! And that is real bacon! And of course, Adi is right by Uncle Daren's side. They are 2 peas in a pod!
Later in the week we had some good friends for games and birthday desserts. It was a super fun night! I am so grateful for the good friends in our lives. We really are blessed with great people who support and love us!
It was a low key birthday this year, which is what he wanted. We relaxed and ate yummy foods!
AND! Daren finally felt baby move! It was so awesome. Now he is constantly poking my belly wanting to play with her! Too funny!
I love this man SO much! He is an AMAZING husband and I don't know what I would do without him! He is going to make one awesome daddy!!
January has also brought a lot of SNOW!! Holy moses! I can't remember getting this much snow since I was a child! It's crazy. I swear we will have snow until July! Bear has been loving it...me..not so much. HA! We need it and I will try and be grateful for it!
We had one Saturday when we woke up and the power was out throughout all our city. And it was -22 degrees! Crazy weather and temperatures over here. Luckily, it was only off for a couple hours!
Here's to warmer days!
HA! One can wish!
