On Sunday, Bear was trying to get a ball that was under some chairs and ended up hitting my Scentsy plug in warmer, which caused the wax stuff to get on his back. It wasn't a lot but still enough to notice. We tried picking it out of his hair but he wouldn't have anything to do with it.
SO! I decided that I would give him a bath and see if that would take it out.
I've never personally given Bear a bath. Usually Petsmart does. Daren has once when Bear spilled paint all over himself and our living room. We have a special puppy. Anyways! Daren gave me a few pointers last night and this afternoon I went for it!
When Bear doesn't want to do something, like get in the tub, you get a work out! I didn't know he had such strong muscles! He REALLY didn't want to get in. It seriously felt like he weighed one million pounds. Usually I can pick him up just fine but when he is fighting it, FREAK! Eventually, using ALL my strength, I got him in. And he was JUST FINE once he was in. He sat still while I washed him. Please ignore my Rambo looking headband...I had been cleaning...
When we were done he jumped out of the tub and ran around like a crazy person for a good 20 minutes. He was barking and rolling around trying to take the "cleanness" off of him. It was quite hilarious.
The wax didn't come off. RAT FINK! I guess we'll have to take him to Petsmart and get him shaved. Until then, I will enjoy Bear smelling like Snowberry, instead of dog, when I cuddle with him.
While I was typing this I remembered that I HAVE given Bear a bath before! It was when we first got him and we bathed him outside with the hose. He was NOT happy. Good times! I love Luiz in this picture. Don't you think he looks like that helmet should permanently be on him? I DO! HA!

where does the weekend go?!
I can't believe it's already Sunday night! UGH! I wish the weekends were like...5 days! That would be GREAT!
It was a pretty low key weekend, but of course, I do have a few highlights for you all!
Friday night Daren got a call from his BFF, John. John and his wife, Beth, had their 3rd child. They had a little baby boy and named him Porter. They live in Idaho so we don't get to see them and their girls very often. BUT they had the baby at the Logan hospital so we went over and saw them. They seriously produce the most beautiful children! Their two little girls are SO cute and little Porter is already so handsome! John and Beth are great people and it's always good to sit and visit with them.

Saturday Daren, his brother, his dad, and Andy went snowmobiling up Tony Grove lake. They had a great time and most importantly, they didn't die in an avalanche (I'm slightly paranoid about that happening). Daren said it was beautiful up there and there was a TON of fresh snow.
Later that night we went to dinner with James and Susi at El Sol, got ice cream from Charlie's, and watch Madagascar 2. It was a good time. The boys were pretty exhausted so we called it an early night.
During the movie Bear decided to lay on Daren's shoulder. See that arrow? That is Bear's bum...right in Daren's face! I thought it was funny so I snapped a pic.
When we were on our way to dinner I got a text from my mom that said to call her, so I did. My dad answered the phone and promptly told me that he was mourning. Why you ask? Oh my little brother went to his Jr. Prom that night and is growing up. It was quite entertaining. I told him to get a tub of ice cream. We ended the phone call by him telling me he had the sniffles because of it. SO dramatic. Does anyone wonder where I get it from?! I sure do love my dad. Anywho my mom sent me pictures from last night and Shane looks SO cute!
Shane and date...minus Shane's head. My mom's picture taking skills are pretty ideal. Love you mom!
Have a good week y'all!
P.S. Today is my half birthday! WOOT! Daren and Bear sang to me this morning. It was quite...beautiful.

fetch and furnace
SO! Last night while I was cleaning up dinner, Daren took the garbage out. It stunk REALLY bad. That is besides the point though. It was taking him a lot longer than it should have to come back in. I started to get a little worried, especially since I couldn't hear anything outside. A few minutes later my phone rang, it was Daren. I thought, oh dear something really did happen. Of course I answered it, Daren told me to come outside for a minute. Naturally I went outside and this is what I saw....
Daren and Bear were playing fetch with a TREE BRANCH! Seriously people. A few days ago when it snowed a lot that branch fell off and has been sitting in the corner of our yard since. Bear has tried to attack it several times and even tried to bring it in the house with him...BUT I've never seen him actually MOVE it until tonight! It was so hilarious! Daren would hoist it above his head, like seen in the picture, and throw it, then Bear would DRAG it across the yard back to him. What a special couple they are! I do love both of them!
Today before we went to pick up Daren from work Bear broke a piece of the branch off and wanted to bring it with us. I said N.O.
Anywho! On a not so funny note, our furnace is broke...again. This time it is the blower thing, it just doesn't blow...at all, not even cold air. It's cold in our house. 52 degrees to be exact. The men are downstairs trying to fix it as I type this. I can hear them conversing...although it doesn't sound like it is furnace related. Luckily we are NOT lacking in blankets. We have a plethora, if you will. But I would much rather have heat than need blankets. Maybe I should break out the blow dryer...
Wish us luck!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Our Valentine's weekend was SO great! I loved it! It was spent with family, friends, and of course EACH OTHER!
It all started Friday with a surprise (that I already knew about) trip to Ogden. We went to dinner at Bistro 258 with some of my friends. The guys planned this little surprise dinner for the girls at a romantic restaurant. WAY TO GO MEN! Everyone was dressed up and looked HOT! It was SO fun and the food was DELICIOUS!
I love my Shan!
I started a trend with these boots! I bought them last weekend, showed Shan, she went out and bought a pair the next day, and NOW Cheri and Kari are going to buy a pair! Best $16 EVER!
The whole gang!
After dinner there was one more surprise (which I didn't know about). We went back to Ally and Shad's new house (which is REALLY cute and ideal!) and had FONDUE! YUMMY! Daren told me he needed a bag of marshmallows for Friday and I was so confused as to why he needed them...now it makes sense! We all sat around and talked and laughed! It was so fun! They had 6 different types of the bubbly!
Aren't they romantic?
Daren and I fondue-ing. Although pretty sure we staged this picture and we aren't really fondue-ing anything. HA! We are hilarious.
We are HOT!
Saturday morning we had orange rolls for breakfast, took the puppy to the park, visited some friends and family, and then came home...to a broken furnace! WHAT THE?! I didn't notice it as first but when I went to out my UGGS by a vent to dry I noticed it was blowing cold air. Daren looked at our thermometer and it said it was 59 degrees in our...it's set for 70. Oh dear...Daren called his dad, his dad came over and didn't know what was wrong so off he went to get Grandpa Don! Grandpa Don can usually fix anything. Well apparently some switch was stuck so it shut everything off so our house wouldn't burn down. They fixed the switch and everything was working again. It's nice to know that if something is wrong with our furnace it will shut everything off, as opposed to our house blowing up.I LOVE this picture of Daren. Look how happy he is!! I asked him what he wanted for Valentine's Day and he said a giant cookie. SO...I got him a giant cookie! And the other thing is a mirror...sometimes he shaves his face in the shower and he has to use a mirror the size of his palm, for reals, so he can see what he is doing. Well I can't imagine that is convenient...so I got him a bigger mirror that he can hang. I'm a good wife, I know.
HA! We are so mean! We put his toy in the bed of the truck so he would jump up. He whined and cried for a few minutes and then eventually got up the courage to try and he MADE IT! He was quite graceful too...which is so RARE for our dog.
I love my puppy!
I have 3 men in my life that I love more than ANYTHING! Here are 2 of them! The other one is my daddy! And my brothers....so that makes 5 men, including a dog! HA!
We are one big happy family! Bear's face is kind of sad! HA! Poor dog he HATES the camera but I LOVE it! And I always win.
ANYWAYS! By the time the furnace was fixed it was 4:50 and we had movie tickets with Daren's parents to Paul Blart: Mall Cop at 5:00. Since there was no time to take Grandpa Don home we FORCED him to come with us. He was telling us on the way over to the theater that he hadn't been to a movie in like 10 years! I told him it was about time he went then! The movie was SO funny! I love Kevin James though. I think he is HILARIOUS!
After the movie we all parted ways and Daren and I headed home for our Valentine's evening together! We didn't want to go out since there would be ONE MILLION people out in the restaurants. SO! We stayed home and made homemade pizza and watched the new CSI's. It was PERFECT! I seriously wouldn't have wanted it any other way! It was so nice to be home with just the 2 of us...and our puppy of course! I LOVED it!The dough for the pizza crust was SO sticky! We had to put a ton of flour in it!
Check out that action shot! HOLLA!
Bear REALLY wanted some pizza.
Before
After. It looks a little burnt was it wasn't. It was PERFECT!
We had a GREAT weekend! I love Daren SO much! I can't imagine my life without him! He's a great husband and a great daddy to the puppy! I know he's going to be an AWESOME dad when we have little ones! I feel like every day is Valentine's Day with him! He takes such good care of me! He's an AMAZING cook! He's so funny, he makes me laugh every single day! He works so hard and is an amazing provider! Plus he totally SUPPORTS my shopping habits! He's told me several times that I NEED to have a purse for every season! Isn't he so ideal? He knows me SO well! I love you baby!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to ALL my lovers!
