Hello all. Still no internet at our home...but guess what?? It's coming this week!! WOOT!!!
All is well here and kind of slowing down...kind of!
We harvested the giant family garden. We did 2 rounds of corn and we got a TON! The pictures are only from the first round. We got a little bit more the second time around. It was awesome!! Grateful to have fresh corn in the winter and be able to taste a little bit of summer.
James saw this awesome way to cut corn off the cob. It involved a power tool...of course. But I tell you what! It worked awesome! That corn was cut off the cob so fast!
We also celebrated Haden's 5th birthday. I can't believe that little rascal is 5 already! So crazy!
Last weekend we had a big yard clean up party. The previous owners left a bunch of old sheds, a TON of wood, and basically just a big mess. We had so many people come over help us! Family, friends, and people from our yard. Holy moly we are so blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people!! I wish I had taken a before picture of our backyard! It looks SO much better! I can't even believe it! We took about 10 loads to the green waste bins and 2 loads to the dump. We probably still have 2 loads that need to go to the dump.
In other random news and pictures and home projects....
We got a new front light! Loves it!!
Daren and Adi both tried on Haden's new pajama's...you can see how different they fit...
We finally got to park in our garage!! It lasted one night before we started another project! HA!
This is our new project! We built a new mantle for our fireplace and have been working on staining it. It has been quite the project. We finally got it the color we want...after about 8 coats of stain and 3 different colors. We tried one and it turned it RED...hence the sad face in the picture above.
This project will be finished this week! WOOT! It's going to look SOO good! I can't wait!
