i'm hostile.

i need to vent for a minute.

i am so sick of people that are stupid and think they should get what they want, when they want it. even if this means the expense of others. seriously, the world doesn't revolve around you. deal with it.

i am so sick of calling some customer service number and getting someone that doesn't speak english. i just talked to someone who first of all didn't even listen to while i was calling, she just assumed and she was wrong. so the first 5 minutes of the phone call weren't even necessary. second, she didn't speak english worth a dime so i couldn't hardly even understand her and she didn't understand why i was calling. don't you think it would be beneficial to hire people that speak english when we are in america?

the end.

Missionary Training Center

...otherwise known as the MTC. I decided the MTC is one of my least favorite places to go. Ever. End of story.

Don't get me wrong, the spirit there is amazing and the feeling you get when everyone sings "Call to Serve" is incredible but overall it's just not my favorite place. I hate saying goodbye and I don't do well with change. For someone who is the slightest bit emotional..no bueno.

I told Daren that I was going to forbid all of our children to go on missions because I just can't handle it...

I remember a lady in our old ward telling my mom when her son left on his mission, it was like someone in the family died. My first thought was, "Holy freaking drama queen." Seriously, could it be that bad? I remember when Jace left it really did feel like he had died. I also had that same feeling yesterday dropping Tom off. But then I gathered my thoughts...and eventually my emotions and realized that it's only 2 years. Jace's 2 years have gone by so fast. I hope Tom's 2 years go by fast too. I'm so proud of both my brother and my brother-in-law. Serving the Lord for 2 years is a big decision and I'm so proud of them for choosing to do so. I know that they will be blessed for it.

I hate saying goodbye.

Thoughts for Friday

I've had a few thoughts today and I would like to share them.

First. A few months ago...well I guess it's been a year now. A year ago I was looking to get a new phone, as I do every year at this time. As I walked into the local T-Mobile store in Logan I saw the most beautiful phone of all. A pink razor with flowers on it. It was so cute I just had to have it. Before I officially purchased it I had several people tell me not to get it. Reasons ranging from the text messaging is really slow to the whole phone sucks to its not durable and you'll probably break it within the first week. Those who know me also know that I am very hard on my phones, not intentionally, it just happens. That is the most common reason I get a new phone every year, because I break them.

I am proud to report that one year later my cute pink razor phone is still working and in one piece. The outside is a little sad but all screens are clear from cracks or scratches. The reason I had this thought today was because this morning as I was leaving to go to work I dropped my phone getting into my car. It fell onto cement. The back of my phone went flying off. I thought to myself, "Oh dear, today is the end of the life of my phone." I went to pick it up, preparing for the worst, of course. I picked up the pieces and put it back together and sure enough, GOOD AS NEW! Now this hasn't been the first time I have dropped it. Today was just another confirmation that my phone is great and I still love it. One may ask, "But it's been a year, will she get a new one anyways?" The answer is no, not yet. I won't be getting a new one for a few more months when I switch over to Daren's plan.

My next thought. The past few days my roommates have come more and said the words that every student longs to say, "I'm done with finals!" They are so happy and I can sense a sign of relief when they say it. Today I got thinking, I miss saying that. It was such a natural high to know you were officially done with school for a few weeks or even a few months. Is it sad that I'm slightly jealous they had to take finals and and then have that amazing feeling of being done? Then I thought, maybe I should go back to school. But then I thought a little bit more and asked myself, "Is it really worth it?" The answer still remains unknown. I do know, however, that I've lost that lovin' feeling.

traumatized

Here I am sitting at work listening to one of our new kids crying his eye balls out. It's his first day and I'm pretty sure he has been crying for about 20 minutes. I realized that if I was his mom, I think I would be very traumatized. The day I drop my first child off at preschool or kindergarten will be a very difficult day for me...especially if my kid cries as hard as this new one is. Poor child. Poor mom.

Hail the Utah Aggies!

Over the past few months I've come to realize the difference between being an alumni vs a student. You wouldn't think it would be that big of difference since I just graduated in May but it's like a completely different world when you are an alumni. This semester I have been to a football game, a hockey game, and a basketball game. At all three games my world has been turned upside down it seems like. Everything is different. It is so weird to not sit in the student section. Seriously, it is like a whole new game when you are sitting in the student sections. I tried yelling and singing all the songs like I was still a student but everyone just looked at me. I wouldn't even call those people fans. How can you go to a basketball game and not sing the fight song?! Even the teams are full of new players. My roommates and I used to be hockey addicts! We used to know every player and even hang out with them but now I don't know anyone on the team! Well except for Scotty John. Colt Pride!

BUT!

There are some things that will never change. For example, the football team will always lose. No matter what seat you are sitting in. I will always get chills when I hear the national anthem being sung at a hockey game, sometimes those chills aren't always good. Our fans will always and forever torment every team that comes to the Spectrum to play a game of good old fashion basketball. And! There is no way to describe the feeling you have when see and hear fellow Aggie's singing the Scotsman. Seeing a crowd of swaying hands is indescribable, it almost brings tears to my eyes.

Go Aggie's!
