hancey family campout

I survived Girl's Camp everyone!! WOOT! I will report back later on that. I am still waiting on pictures from the other girls.

After I got back from girl's camp, we headed over to the Annual Hancey Family Campout. This was the first year it wasn't at the Biter's cabin. It was a little strange but it was SO fun! It was in Neil's backyard and he went over the top with activities. He has been planning this since February. He did a great job!

Friday night, we had a zip line competition. It was fun to watch and be a judge. Susi got a little carried away and tried to do the zip line with one hand while holding the dog with the other. Well it didn't turn out as planned. She ended up breaking 2 parts in the leg and having surgery Saturday morning to put some plates and screws in it. So special...I'm still trying to figure out why she thought it was a good idea to go down like that!

After the zip line extravaganza...they set up a movie under the stars. Daren and I left before it started. I was tired and wanted to sleep in my own bed.

The next morning we headed over for breakfast and a mudbog! It was so hilarious! Neil created all these different types of bikes to ride through it. It was so awesome!

I am so grateful we have these get togethers and for the memories we make with our extended families. We really have so much fun!

This is a little late but a few weeks ago we went and got snow cones. We ended up waiting over 40 minutes to get ours! While we were waiting, it started raining and lightening! It was pretty funny...kind of...HA! Memories are being made!

4th of July this week! Love this holiday! I'm so excited!

super random loves

This is such a random post about fun with things we have been up! Lots of here and there and everywhere!!

First...I spray painted our storm door! BLUE! And I love it!! It looks like a rainbow threw up all over my house and I love it! So much life and color!

My feet looked similar to a smurf. I put plastic on the ground but it didn't do any good. Our garage is covered in blue paint. Kind of funny...

I also painted our actual door. Just white and tan. Nothing crazy but it sure looks a lot better. Still has the ugly yellow glass...baby steps though. I have no pictures of it!

I seriously love our house! I feel so blessed to be here and making it our own home!

Second...Shane has started playing summer baseball for the old Hyrum Hornets! It's been super fun to watch him play...not to mention I LOVE to see those field lights come on at night! There are few greater sights than that!

Third...Adi had her first dance recital last week. Be still my heart! She was so darling! Didn't follow a single step and was totally in her own little world...just like normal! Loved watching her!!

Fourth...Daren's Uncle Neil has been preparing for the upcoming Hancey Family Camp out that will be at his house this year. With those preparations, he has added a ZIP LINE to his yard. Last Sunday we went over to everyone could test it out. It was a hit! I didn't try it...mainly because I am a chicken. Maybe I will for the actual camp out...maybe...mostly I am worried that I am not strong enough to hold on for a 5 second period. HA! But seriously...

Shane and Daren both did it...well Daren did until he could touch the ground...haha! He didn't make it very far...

Fifth...and everything else...

I FINALLY put curtain up in our bedroom. Have I mentioned that my husband HATES to up curtain rods? Bless his heart for helping me! I bought these bad boys like a year ago and never got around the buying the actual rods for them. Loving the way it makes our room feel. More homey and peaceful.

I won this North Face jacket! It's like a $200 jacket and it was FREE! Boo yeah! It's a little snug but who cares! FREE! I was the first to find the North Face rep at a local sporting good. Daren saw the radio station van parked in front of the store as we pulled in so he turned the radio station to it and sure enough..."Be the first person to come see us and we will give you this jacket." Heck yeah we raced in there and found him! It was awesome!

We went and visited Grandma's grave on Memorial Day weekend. It was really beautiful and super busy! Grandma is doing good. I rearranged her flowers so they were all symmetrical. I know she appreciated it.

My popsicle bench strikes again! Look at these cute scouts! They stopped by to enjoy the bench...and then never left! HA! They are also in our Sunday School class. Good kids! I was informed Sunday that they will be stopping by again this week after scouts.

Last week we had the craziest hail storm I think I have ever seen! We were in Providence at Annie and Harley's house and all of a sudden the power went out. Soon after that we decided to head home and then BAM...HAIL!! Like big old hail balls! We were driving like 15 MPH and we could barely see in front of us! And it was SO loud! I could barely hear Daren talk and he was sitting right next to me! I for sure thought it was going to break our windshield! When we got home, we didn't have a single drop of rain! It was so cra!

Well that's all for now! I am super excited for this summer. It's going to be the summer of FUN! Last summer all we did was work. This summer we are going to PLAY!
