pioneer day

Oh how I love to celebrate the pioneers! This year we celebrated on the 25th, instead of the 24th.

My poor hubby had to work during the day. Sad panda.

Susi came and picked me up and we had a grand time! We went over to Willow Park. They had a mini fair going on...nothing to be too excited about. Haden threw a fit the entire time we were there and it was pretty hilarious!

After the park we went and watched Logan's parade. I had never been to this parade before and it was quite delightful! The weather was excellent, the entire street is covered in trees so you are shaded, plus the parade was a lot bigger than I thought!

Later that night we had a BBQ at Daren's parents house. It was very delicious! After dinner we took the boat for a test run....DUN DUN DUN!! If you remember, the boat is NOT our friend. But Tom has been working on it and got it to run!

It ran pretty good on the water, as we were coming back in to the dock, it died. Daren, Tom, and Krystal paddled us in...with water skis!! The oar was in our basement! Oh man I was seriously LOL'ing. Daren was singing 'Row, row, row your boat'...pretty sure we got a round going at one point. Anyways, we were like 20 feet from the dock and it started again! I think just a few more things need to be fixed and we may actually have a boat that runs. Now we need to find the time to actually go...

Here are the boys paddling away with the water skis!

We made it back to land without blowing up or sinking the boat!
Please do not be alarmed. I didn't actually kiss the ground...the ground smelled like butt.

It was such a gorgeous night!

Another holiday down! It was a success!

hyde park fireworks

Friday night Hyde Park did their annual fireworks! It's something I look forward to every year. We eat delicious food at Daren's aunt and uncle, Mari and Casey's house, who live right across the street from the park where they set them off. The fireworks are RIGHT THERE. IN YOUR FACE!! It rocked my world.

It was also my sweet mother in laws birthday! So of course we had to celebrate! Sure do love her!

I didn't take any pictures of the firework...I was too busy enjoying them.

Isn't this the cutest picture?! Haden sure does love his Uncle Daren!

Until next time peeps...

kenny chesney

Have I ever told you guys how much I LOVE Kenny Chesney?! Luckily my BFF, Shannon, feels the EXACT same way. You should see us together at his concerts. We are like giddy school girls...

Well, it just so happens that he was in town this weekend and we went!! It totally rocked my world!

Before we could get us some Kenny, we celebrated Sophie's 2nd birthday! Oh how I love Sophie! She is seriously so freaking adorable and has the cutest personality.

Love these hot ladies!

Anyways, back to Kenny! The first hour or so we were at USANA was REALLY intense. You see, we bought a Megaticket this year, clear back in February. The Megaticket ticket includes tickets to Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Sugarland, and Rascal Flatts. (By the way, I'm REALLY excited about my summer concerts). And with this special ticket you could get into the concert 15 minutes earlier than the general public...making it so you could get some killer seats. We were suppose to be let in at 5:15, they didn't let us in until 5:45...THEN! They made us wait another 15 minutes to actually get on the lawn! Meanwhile they let all general public in. SO when the time came to actually get a spot on the lawn it was total chaos!! Oh man people were so angry!! It was kind of funny, but mostly super irritating. I'm just hoping that this isn't how the other 3 concerts are going to be.

After that we had a good old time!!

Uncle Cracker

Billy Currington...he is really hot in real life by the way...

Oh my stars...I love him

Look what we found on the way out! I laughed.

It took us FOREVER to get out of the parking lot...and then we got lost going home. HA! We didn't get home til like 1am. Did I mention the concert was over with at 11?! At least we were together...

I got to spend an entire 24 hours with Shannon and it was AMAZING!! John took one for the team and slept on the couch so Shannon and I could sleep in the same bed. That's how we roll...

One concert down, 3 to go!!

4th of july!!

The 4th of July is one of my FAVORITE holidays. EVER.

This year Daren and I had a nice, LONG weekend. It totally rocked my world.

Friday, Logan had their fireworks. James and Susi had their annual BBQ and it was delicious. This year we had a bounce house and all the kids LOVED it! It was pretty entertaining.

Saturday, we went and saw the new Transformers. It was awesome. I totally heart Optimus Prime. I may or may not have a robot crush on him! After the movie we went out to eat with my parents. And then over to the Cruise In parade. We got our favorite spot...we did set up like 2 days before the actual parade. It gets pretty intense!

Monday, was the actual holiday. Daren and I did some shopping, went to the pool (WOOT!), and then headed over to his mom and dad's for a BBQ. So yummy!! After eating and laughing lots, we went out to Millville to watch the fireworks in Hyrum. This year it was awesome! Since they made some of the ariel ones legal, EVERYONE was setting them off. Legal or not, they were awesome! We could see fireworks all over the valley!

Daren took Tuesday off, see I told you we had a nice long weekend! We went and saw The Green Lantern, relaxed, went to dinner with James and Susi, did some work in our garden and THEN found ourselves in another house adventure. You see, our AC wasn't working properly. You could hear it running and feel a little air but nothing like it was suppose to be. Basically our AC was running all the time...can't wait to get our bill for it. Anywho! Tom was here and took a look at it. Our filter was SO dirty! Seriously, nasty. it was so dirty that is was backing up our cold air cause ice build up. There was like an inch of ice in our vent...or whatever it is called. So we had to fill up pitchers of hot water to try and melt it. It wasn't working as fast as we needed it to. SO! We brought the hose in, hooked it up to our hot water for our washer and Tom went to town. There was water EVERYWHERE in my basement. It was awesome. Praise the heavens now it works and works even better!! Totally worth the mess. And it actually wasn't as bad as that one time our basement flooded. Do you remember that?!

That is ice.

This is shaved ice. I want another one...

Guess where I am going Saturday!? To see KENNY CHESNEY!! Oh man am I excited!!
