good bye

Yesterday, being the last day of school, I had to say good bye to a lot of wonderful people. There were tears. LOTS of tears. I don't think I've had such an emotional last day of school since my high school graduation. We were probably the only ones in the whole school bawling our eye balls out.

It's so sad to know that the dynamics of this classroom, children and adults, will never be the same. Some aren't coming back, some are switching schools, some don't know what the future holds. I was truly privileged to be apart of this team this year. I have developed some INCREDIBLE friendships, ones that are NOT replaceable. Ever.

This school year has been very challenging for me and these amazing women have stood by my side through all of it and they will never know how much I appreciate them for it. They never doubted me and they always stood up for me. I could not hand pick a better group of women to work with!

I feel like I have worked with my fair share of students over the past few years and these kids are by far the most talented and intelligent little beings. I've grown to love these kids, some more than others, but I would take any one of them home with me in the heart beat.

I could go on and on about how much I love these kids and the funny stories...but I am trying to go a day with out crying!

flowers, flowers, and more flowers

We bought LOTS of flowers this weekend! WOOT! And we got a killer deal on everything! DOUBLE WOOT!

We bought this beauty....

Two of these awesome pots. LOVE THEM!!

And Daren bought me these...I love that he buys me flowers almost every week. He knows how much I LOVE having fresh flowers in the house...so he makes it happen! He is so great!

We bought more but they have yet to be placed in the ground...it's my list for this week though! Be prepared for before and after photos. I am SO excited!

And guess what?! They are all inside my house now...Stupid snow and rain and freezing warnings for tonight.

On a happier note: last of school is Thursday! HOLLA!

harley and annie's wedding

This past weekend...and today, have been quite the emotional ones. I'm thinking about selling my tear ducts on eBay. What do you guys think?!

One of the emotional events that took place this weekend was the joining of these 2 beautiful souls. This emotional event was a HAPPY one! I am SO happy for Harley and Annie! They are PERFECT for each other and the day was BEAUTIFUL!!

They had their reception at the American West Heritage Center and it was SO cute! They had a horse and wagon take you to the barn and it totally rocked my face off.

Instead of a montage video, they hung pictures along one side of the barn starting from when they were a baby til recent. SO CUTE!

Congrats Harley and Annie! We love you guys!

sugarland!

Friday night Shannon and I went to the Sugarland concert and it TOTALLY rocked my face off! I didn't want it to end! They could have sung the same songs a million times in a row and I still would have loved it! They did some 80's remixes in their songs and I loved it!

On a side note, when I grow up I want to be an 80's rock star. I may be in the wrong decade though...

We were on Row 15! We were so close! However, I won't lie, being short and sitting down on the floor at a concert is a little tricky. There were some abnormally tall people in the rows in front of us. BUT! It was SO worth it!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sugarland! You can tell they LOVE what they do and they have such great energy.

Danny Gokey and Julienne Hough opened for them. Both were good. Danny is so cute and Julienne is hot. I won't lie about it. She is very pretty!

LOVE THEM!!

I love going to concerts with Shan. We always have such a great time. We know how to rock! Right, Shan?!

cinco de??

Today in the world it is Cinco de Mayo.

In my world, it is Cinco de Marci AND Cinco de Monkey!

Today, my friends, is my good friend Marci's birthday as well as my little Monkey's birthday!

I love both of these people VERY much...in 2 totally different ways of course...and neither of them romantically. That would be sick and wrong.

I shall begin with Marci. Marci is SO incredibly talented! She has such a special skill, she should probably copyright her body! Mama Marci is also SO funny! Every time we are together I always laugh so hard. Marci is always there for me, no matter what and I know I can always talk to her about anything! She is one of my best friends EVER!!
Happy birthday Mom! I love you!

Next, is my Monkey. He's turning 2 today! Can you believe it?! I remember when he was born and he looked like an alien and now...well now he's the cutest kid I know! I really do worry that I won't love my own children as much as I love him! I can be a grumpy grandma and as soon as I see him, I am the happiest person! His personality is so lovable and I just want to SQUISH him all the time! I feel like we have such a special bond and I LOVE it!
Happy birthday Monkey! I love you!

family pictures

We got our family pictures back! WOOT!

Would you like to see them?!

OKAY!!

This one is my favorite of the whole family.

Don't these doors totally rock your world?!

Please note this picture was VERY much staged. They love each other, they just don't hug each other.

I think they turned out pretty good!
