merry christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS MY LITTLE LOVE BUGS!

Daren and I have had a MOST EXCELLENT Christmas this year! And guess what?! It's not even over yet! WOOT!

Christmas Eve we made some creamy potato soup and garlic butter rolls and watched Christmas movies all night, just the 2 of us....and the puppy! It was so wonderful.

Christmas morning we woke up, made some VERY delicious orange rolls, opened up our gifts from each other, and then headed over to Daren's parents house. We hung out there for a couple hours and Daren got to talk to Tom as well.

I LOVE our little tree. I call this our "Christmas corner. "

Check out that bone! Bear was so excited to get it, he could barely contain himself.

Isn't this the cutest picture? We couldn't keep Bear's attention long enough to look at the camera. He just wanted his bone.

Who cares what Santa brought me?! I want to eat the instructions! OH boy I love him!

We headed down to my parents house and arrived around 2. We opened presents, went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, ate WAY too much, like seriously... WAY too much food. Daren made homemade pizzas and we also had stuff for fajitas too. SO YUMMY! After dinner we watched Julie and Julia.

P.S. Isn't my mom's tree pretty? I like it.

After

I've been wanting this picture for like a million years and I finally got it! My mom even got it personalized for us! She started crying before she even gave it to us because she knew I would cry...and I did...mainly because she was crying though. All the men just laughed at us.

My dad decided to test out his new camping gear...in the kitchen. It was REALLY entertaining!

I think it's safe to say he likes it! He looks so happy!

Saturday morning we went to the Hanley Christmas party at my parents clubhouse...very convenient by the way. We ate some delicious breakfast and chatted with the fam.

My cute family in front of the clubhouse Christmas tree. Sorry about your eyes Shane...it was the best one I had

When we got back to Logan, James and Susi brought our puppy over to us for a sweet reunion. Daren and James put together my NEW DRESSER!! I had my old dresser for more than 15 years! So I'd say it was about time for a new one! Thanks lover! After putting together the dresser we went to the Tibbitts Christmas party next door to us....also very convenient. We enjoyed some more delicious food, played a white elephant game, and opened presents.

The final product! I LOVE it! It's bigger and has more space than my last one! Which means I can shove more clothes into this one! Time to go shopping!

Check out those awesome sunglasses I got! Daren's uncle, so graciously, let me have them! And yes, I do plan on wearing them in public.

Holy crap, she's cute!

So much chocolate...that neither one of them probably needs!

Basically all we've done this weekend is eat. It sure has been fun!

Both mine and Daren's family are so great! We truly have been blessed in the family department!

This next week is going to be super fun!! Dinner with my best girlies (I can't believe I just used that term...sick), Shannon's birthday, TOM'S COMING HOME, Christmas with the Tibbitts (Yes it is true, we still have one more Christmas to go!), New Years.....OH SNAP I'M EXCITED!

Stay tuned my little bumble bees....

jon schmidt

Saturday night we went to the Jon Schmidt concert in Salt Lake with my family. It's a tradition and I like it. We ate dinner and The Pie and then walked up to Kingsbury Hall.

The concert was most excellent, as always!

Look how huge that pizza is! It was as wide as the table! So delicious!

Now begins the season of pictures were Daren's coat glows...Dang those reflective things on his coat so people can see him....Also please note that I was wearing my purse UNDER my coat. Very awkward.

The consequences for eating at The Pie ended in food poisoning for my dear hubby. He's had a rough day today. And there isn't anything I can do! Except hold him. And I have been. He's starting to feel better tonight. He even came to tithing settlement with me ( I didn't make him either, he chose to). I hate seeing him like this, it just breaks my heart.

P.S. I have decided that breakfast in bed is a VERY good way to start a Saturday. Luckily for me, it happens quite often.

P.P.S. My Christmas shopping and crafting is DONE! ALL OF IT! You guys should see my color coded Christmas list....It looks A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!

snow, snow, snow!

We got LOTS of snow this weekend! So what did we do?? WE PLAYED IN IT!!

Bear LOVES the snow! So I put on my snow pants and snow boots and we played in the snow on Saturday!

I tried to make a puppy snow angel. It didn't work.

Puppy kisses!

Before we played in the snow we went to the Hancey Family Christmas Party. We had a good time!! It was also Makayla's birthday so she got to open some presents!

I love him.

Kayzen REALLY liked the food.

This dress is on my Christmas list. I want one.

This picture isn't from this weekend but I LOVE it! We got a new camera and I was testing out how awesome it was....and let me tell you, it is AWESOME!

I'm almost done sending out Christmas cards so if you want one and haven't told me, well tell me. Don't be shy.

Stay pretty.

christmas parties a plenty!

Saturday was FULL of Christmas parties. Well only 2 but still....

In the morning was our ward Christmas party. It wasn't as lame as I thought it would be. Please note that Daren and I helped plan it. It was would have been AWESOME if our ideas were used but whatev. I was surprised but the lack of turnout though. I guess this time of year is busy for people....or they heard it had the potential to be lame. The food wasn't anything exciting, and knowing our ward they probably paid too much for it. Our program felt like a sacrament meeting. I colored during it. They sent the youth and the children off to do something else during the program. Daren said it best. I didn't walk away feeling like it was Christmas. There is always next year....

After running a few errands Daren and I headed down to Salt Lake for another Christmas party. We went down a little early so we could see my parents. Guess what we did?! COSTCO! HA! I love it.

The Christmas party that night was a BILLION TIMES MORE FUN! Holy crap. We were laughing all night! Cheri and Adam are AMAZING hosts!

We ate yummy soups and rolls for dinner and had a gingerbread house making contest. We only had 10 minutes to make something. 10 minutes in gingerbread land is NOT very long.

Final product. Remember we only had 10 MINUTES!

Rudolph is peeing on the house. I thought it was hilarious!

All the gingerbread houses!

I voted for this one. HILARIOUS!
Red Light District: Santa's Ho Ho Ho's

This one won. It was the best. It's a gingerbread outhouse.
Santa's Escape

We played Jeopardy, Christmas Edition. Jeopardy was VERY INTENSE! But naturally, my team won. I was in charge of the hand clapper and I must say I totally dominated the clapping. Just ask Shannon. I'm pretty sure we won BECAUSE of how awesome I was at clapping that thing. :) After Jeopardy we did white elephants. There were some real dreams, that's for sure. Daren and I walked away with a TON of candy....which I will be taking to school with me on Monday.

After winning Jeopardy...and my beloved clapping hand.

Best white elephant gift= a FULL Bullwinkle costume!

Slim Jim mug
There was also a REALLY awesome vest that was HAND MADE! And a countdown to Christmas on a roll of T.P. along with a plethora of awesome gifts.

I love my girls!
P.S. Megan your eyes were closed in BOTH pictures!

We had such a fun time! I can't wait til next year's party!
