update but not really...

hello friends!

i really have nothing for importance to tell you. which is sad but true.

i feel like i've been sick for like a million years. but really its only been like 2 weeks. i thought i was better...but i'm not. i think its going to be a long year. this new teacher isn't as OCD about germs like the last one...i miss you  heather.

daren is still rocking it out at work. i couldn't be more proud of him! seriously peeps. so freaking proud!

i'm pretty excited for the upcoming fall season and fall events. fall is one of my favorite seasons. ever. in fact, i'm going to put up my fall decor this weekend.

well that's about all i have.

friends and babies

Welcome welcome sabbath morning....only it's 4 in the afternoon.

I hope the world is treating everyone like kings and queens!

Daren and I spent the majority of the weekend away. Sad times. But we both enjoyed ourselves and got to hang out with good friends!

Friday night, my besties and I went out to dinner to celebrate Cheri's birthday and it was a GOOD time.

Cheesecake Factory + my friends = AWESOME!

Plus, I got to see baby Sophie and she is SO freaking adorable. I could have watched her all night...who am I kidding, I DID!

She kept it there for a good 5 minutes!

Before I headed back to Logan on Saturday I went to a baby shower for one of my old roommates, Lindsey. It was SO good to see Kourt and Lindsey! College definitely would NOT have been the same without these 2. Best roommates ever! We were only missing Rachelle!

Note to self: remember this for the next baby shower!

Lou lou- she's due in 3 weeks!

It was a good weekend and I got to spend some quality time with my family but I was SO happy to get home to my man and my puppy! I missed my boys while I was gone!

On a random side note: This week we had a killer wind storm come through and it tore off 2 HUGE branches from one of our trees. It was wild. I'm sure glad the truck wasn't home when it happened or it would have been NO BUENO!

You can see all the leaves and crap that blew all over the road. 

We took these branches to the dump on Saturday after I got home. Rotting dead grass and trees seriously smells like butt! I had to wear my shirt over my head so I didn't have to smell it! Sick.

On the agenda this week? A trip to the DMV. Apparently, my license has been expired since my birthday, one month ago. I had no idea!

eastern idaho fair

Saturday, Daren and I, along with James, Susi, Tom, and Jenn, went up to Blackfoot, Idaho for the Eastern Idaho Fair. And let me tell you...it was ghetto and red neck and AWESOME! We had SO much fun!

We ate carnival food, rode the scary death rides, and went to the demolition derby! I must point out that we had awesome seat neighbors at the derby! They were SO fun! Don't you guys think that your seat neighbors at large events can totally make or break the event for you?! I do.

(I am NOT referring to my husband, although he is 1st place in my book!)

This slide was longer but slower than the one we rode at the Logan fair.

Jenn and I went on this ride of death. 

We were feeling dangerous.

My only regret is that I didn't wear this outfit....

I LOVE me a good fair!!

mt. logan

Yesterday, on the day of Labor, we ventured up to the top of Mt. Logan. You heard me, the TOP. Like 10 million miles above sea level. It took us about 5 hours total and it was REALLY bumpy and sometimes quite frightening at times. I think I stopped breathing a few times...and puppy did NOT like it. I think he would have been okay if he had more room in the truck...but with 4 adults, 1 baby, and 2 dogs in one truck, there wasn't much room besides on mama's lap.

We had a good time though! It was quite beautiful at the top and you could see the ENTIRE valley...I bet I even saw your house. True story.

There were a bunch of sheep on the side of the mountain and Daren wanted Bear to go herd them. As they got closer about 6 huge dogs came over to protect the sheep. Daren and Bear came back pretty quickly after that!

On the way down we pulled over and shot some cans and bottles.
