update schumpdate

Do you think "schumpdate" is even a word?! Looks like I just made it up!

Listen people! Big things are happening this week!! Elder Hansen is coming home on Saturday!!!!!!!!!! Oh man! I can hardly stand it! I am going to cry like a blubbering fool!

Until then...here is the happs!

We have taken lots of trips to the puppy park! Bear has loved it! He just goes crazy and is getting braver and braver when he jumps in the river. Such a proud mama!

We had our first snow cones!! We have actually had more since these ones. We love our snow cones!

I made strawberry jam! First time EVER! I think it turned out pretty good. It tastes good...not sure if it set up correctly. But I did it! And I dirtied about every bowl I own in the process! HA! It was quite the event.

My dogs likes to lick walls...so special!

Can't forget about pictures of cute little baby Adi! Love her so much! And her chubby thighs!

Daren and Jody have been eating at this Mexican truck for a couple weeks. They love it and go at least once a week. Well, I finally broke down and decided to try it. And you know what? It was DELISH! And I didn't die. Win-Win! I did fear for my life...but the man can cook!

Anyone that knows my husband knows how much he LOVES meat...especially he is can get LARGE pieces to cook. I knew that pork roasts were on sale for super cheap this week but I didn't tell him. Only because I knew we didn't have any room in our freezer for another "Harold." Well...he found out. I love his reaction! It's like Christmas morning for him! We only took home one of those roasts by the way.

That's all for now folks. Stay tuned for another post this week!

easter

Wasn't Easter Sunday such a beautiful day?! Oh my! It was wonderful!

We got to spend part of the day with my family and the last half with Daren's. It was perfect. My mom fixed us a yummy Easter breakfast and then we went to church. Now listen people, you haven't attended an Easter program until you have been to my parent's ward. It is quite the production. Included in the program are the primary children walking down the isles waving palm tree leaves....believe it people. After church, we napped and then had an yummo Easter dinner! Also, I ran my head into the corner of a wall. That was awesome.

These are the leaves. They used to be bigger, like huge.

When we got to Daren's parents that afternoon we had Easter dinner, which was the exact same lunch we had. Still super yummo! And then we had an Easter egg hunt!! Well the kids did! But I think I get just as excited as the wee little ones do.

What a glorious day it was!

cheri's baby shower

One of my dearest and bestest friends is having a baby!! Guys, I am seriously so excited for her! She is going to be THE BEST mom! Whether she believes it or not...I know it's true!!

This weekend we threw her a little shower! And it turned out so cute! Marci and Shan did a great job! The theme was April Showers.

We had kabobs! Fruit, salad and sandwich kabobs!

It was such a great time!! It was so great to celebrate a new babe into the circle! And it was great to see old friends! Sure do love them all! Love you so much Cher!! I can't wait to meet little baby girl in just a few short weeks!

On a side note....when I opened up the internet the other day at work this was the first story I saw....kind of random, don't you think? I have never thought about being a bag lady. Have you?

Also, this was at Marci's house. It's not everyday you see a real life stuffed giraffe...Her dad shot this in Africa. It's giant.

I still have to blog about Easter so stay tuned!!

Much love.
