shane's farewell

Shane's farewell was on Sunday....and I went through an entire package of kleenex's plus some. It was might wonderful and Shane did an EXCELLENT job. He pretty much planned the entire sacrament. He had the youth and choir sing "As Sister's in Zion/We'll Bring the World His Truth" (I went through 3 kleenex's during this song alone), then the Young Men's president spoke, then the organist played "Come Thou Fount", and then Shane spoke. It was a very powerful meeting. Even Shane got emotional, which doesn't happen very often. There was a TON of people there!! Usually there are about 120 there on a regular Sunday and this week there were over 300! Holy crap! We had a gathering over at my parents clubhouse after and we fed about 160 people. It was wild. Thank heavens the sun was out so people could hang out by the pool and on the lawn!

I'm SO proud of Shane! And I am so grateful for all the people who came out and supported our family this weekend! You guys rock!

temples and bowling

What a weekend! It went by way too fast but it sure was a good one!

Saturday morning my little bro, Shane, went through the temple for the first time. It was so awesome to watch him through the session. He is so grown up! I guess this means he really isn't 12 anymore and he isn't playing baseball at Crown Colony....

The temple was SO busy! It took us 3 hours to get through the session. Both of my parents said they have NEVER seen such a large session before.

After the temple we got some lunch, and then mom and I went to Tai Pan while the boys hung out at home.

Later that night we went bowling for Jace's birthday. It was so fun! I'm so grateful for my family and that everyone gets along so well! There is definitely never a dull moment!

HA! My mom and I think alike. Here is Jace tying my bowling shoes.....

And Shane tying my mom's bowling shoes....We are funny!

Happy birthday brother!

This picture was taken with no flash and look how funny it is! Those green lights were flashing around everywhere!

Much better!

Have a super week!

baby animal days

Yesterday I went with Angie and her little ones to Baby Animal Days. It rained, snowed, and hailed on us but we still had a good time! It was so wet and muddy! And all the animals were in barns instead of on the grass but that's okay! We went on the train, rode the ponies, and saw the BABY BEARS!! Holy crap they are so cute! The poor things had to stay inside the workers coats. I guess they are used to 70 degree weather all the time and TRUST ME it was NOT 70 degrees...not even close!

Waiting for the train!

Please remember it was raining and snowing...don't judge how we look

Look how cute they are!! I wanted to squish them!

Monkey was so cold so Ang put him in her jacket! Kind of like the baby bears!

Bahaha! They look so homeless....I love it!

We had a good time! It's something I look forward to every spring break! And I am already looking forward to next year...hopefully it's better weather!

Guys, my kitchen is SO close to being done! I'm so excited to show you! This spring break has been so productive! I am very proud of myself!

mr.haden

Meet Haden.

He's my nephew.

And he's 18 months.

He's pretty cute don't you think? He was being very difficult this day. Usually he LOVES my camera but last week...well he could have cared less. He wanted NOTHING to do with me. But I still got some good pictures! He can't fool me yet!

I sure do love this little guy!

P.S. Daren and I bought that first outfit for him for Christmas. We did good.
