Oh boy...this is going to be a LONG post! Lots of pictures!
Have I mentioned that I LOVE the 4th of July?! Last year we didn't celebrate too much because we were working on our house. Well this year...we celebrated! And it was awesome!
Logan always does their fireworks on the 3rd of July. This was the first year we haven't gone to James and Susi's because they moved. So it was a little different but we still enjoyed ourselves. We went out to dinner and Annie and Harley and Shane. Then we went to find a spot to watch the fireworks. We actually found a pretty good spot up higher. The fireworks were right in front of us, instead of above us. While we waiting, we played Headbandz and it was super fun! And the sunset was on point that night! I love summer sunsets!
Before the parade, James and Susi came over to hang out more a bit. Adi found some rollie pollies outside and was in heaven! She LOVES potato bugs and would get so excited! And of course this little girl and her Uncle Daren are best buds!
Saturday we started the celebrations off with the Hyrum City parade. It was crazy! So many people! We actually set our chairs out last Sunday...and there were already people that had been set up before that. Craziness, I tell you! It was great fun though! I love parades. And I love watching all the kids get excited! We had a big group this year!
After the parade, we got to rest of a minute or 2 until my family showed up! Once they arrived we headed out for more fun! Our first stop was to the Bridgerland Applied Technology Campus were they put up a flag for every person from Cache Valley that is serving in the military. It was SO awesome to see. And made for a great family photo opportunity.
After pictures and some yummy lunch at Texas Roadhouse, we headed over to the Main Street Cruise In parade. It was delightful as usual! We have such a great spot! It's shaded and relaxing!
I am so grateful that we were able to spend the day with our families! It was so fun celebrating our freedom! Grateful to live in this country were I am able to celebrate freely!
Happy 4th of July everyone!
