an update of life

Hey all!

Here is an update...

We celebrated out 6th anniversary at the beginning of the month! 6 years people! We went out to dinner and then spent the night at a hotel. It was a great little getaway! When we got out of our car at the hotel, Daren goes, "Well that's creepy." I look over to the huge moving truck next to us there was a MANNEQUIN...buckled in the passengers seat. It was SO creepy! I guess that is a good way to keep people from trying to steal your stuff. Love this man of mine!!

We finally got the garden at Daren's parents house planted! We are doing a HUGE family garden this year. Angie's kid planted 500 ft of corn by themselves! They are serious rock stars!!

We are loving this wonderful summer weather! Last weekend Adi and Daren were playing in this little house and it was pretty adorable! They are 2 peas in a pod! Adi LOVES her Uncle Daren. And I dare say that Uncle Daren loves that little Adi!!

Susi, Jenn, and I threw a bridal shower for Danielle this week! It was pretty fun! We are so excited for Danielle and Andy to get married!!

Across the street from Jenn's house are goats. Annie and I went over after the shower to pet them. They were so cute!

Daren's cousin, Miranda, got married this week too! We had a little adventure and drove up to Grace for her reception. She looked beautiful and it was great to see some family we don't normally see!

And last but not least...OUR HOME! We have been working on some things on the outside of the house. We had to paint some exposed wood for the loan and put up new rain gutters. It looks so much different already! We are suppose to close this week! We are SOO excited!!

Next time I blog we will be homeowners!! Let the projects begin!!

memorial day and other adventures

Hello my loves!

What an adventure this weekend has been!!

After work on Friday we hopped in the truck with James, Susi, and Tom. Yes, TOM! It was awesome! Where did we go?? OREGON!! We went on a short road trip and we had a blast! It wasn't short as far as the miles go, it was short as far as the days go! We left Friday around 5:30 and we pulled in about 12:30 early Sunday morning. James found an old truck he wanted to buy to help fix the one he already has. So we went with him to get it. We took our truck and it did great! It was touch and go for a little bit...pulling a huge trailer and huge truck up a mountain is rough work! But we made it! It was SO fun to spend some time with Tom. We usually don't get to see him at all so spending 36 straight hours with him was awesome!

Friday night we only drove half way. We stopped right outside of Boise to sleep for the night.

This is what happens when Tom is around...a total and chaotic mess! HA!

Saturday morning we got up early, had some breakfast at the local IHOP, and then we were on our way again!

The place we got the truck from was literally in the middle of nowhere! I feared for my life...we had to herd cows to get there...We took a scary dirt road down to where the truck was. It was a truck grave yard. Even though it was alarming, it was quite beautiful!

This picture says it all! HA! Cracks me right up!

Yup...this happened too! I'm telling you, it was an ADVENTURE!

Happy brothers!!

After we got the truck all loaded, we headed home. It was about a 9 hour drove home. We stopped and had lunch and we had to get gas...a lot. We averaged about 7.5 miles a gallon on the way home. Yikes...

Oregon is seriously so beautiful!! I wish we had the time we go to the coast. It's one of my favorite places ever!

I'm so glad all of us were able to go! Even more grateful that we all get along so well and stilled wanted to hang out with each other after spending all that time in the car together!!

This weekend we also celebrated little Luiz's birthday! He is such a spaz and a total boy but he has the biggest heart! And the little boys just love him! We were joking at dinner about how they are all different ages, but the same age mentally! HAHA!

Getting these kids to take a normal picture is nearly impossible...

He requested trick candles. All the kids were trying to blow them out. It was pretty funny!

Speaking of these children...Daren and I took them all to the park the other night. Oh the crack me up! They found this mustache there and all took turns wearing it. Who knows where it came from?! We probably shouldn't have let them play with it but oh well! Hopefully they are all caught up on their shots!

Sure do love these kiddos!!

Tonight we went to see my grandma. Her headstone looks great! And there we lots of flowers on it! I rearranged them in an orderly fashion...and cleaned the bird poop off.

And last but not least....This is going to be our new house!! We should close in about 2 or 3 weeks!! We are SOO excited!!

We went to look at carpet and Daren found one he likes! He wants it to be soft like bird feathers on his feet! HA! I love him so much!!

That's all for now folks!
