loving the fall!

Hey all!

Isn't this weather so amazing?! We are having a REAL fall! It's a miracle!

Here is the low down on what has been happening....

I made this amazing cake. 4 layers. ALL chocolate! BOOM!

Last week I watched these cute kids for a few hours. We went on a walk and a quite the enjoyable time!

Saturday was quite the day! It all started with FREE french toast from Kneaders. Daren and I got up at 7 and made our way to the opening of Kneaders. It was DELICIOUS! Totally worth not sleeping in! Plus, when we walked in the gave us EACH a $20 gift card. Hence, the free. And we still have $20 left! BOO YEAH!

Saturday afternoon my family came up, even Jace! We went to lunch and then to the Pumpkin Walk. It was magical! I was so happy to have them here. We sure did miss Shane though!

This is pretty much what he did the entire time.

Love the leg!

So my dad was staring at this basketball hoop for like 5 minutes. We couldn't quite figure out why so we asked him. He said he was thinking about "how he used to be able to jump that high when he was younger and how there was no way in hell he could do it now." It gave us all a good laugh!

Only one missing is Shaners!

We were seriously LOL'ing so hard! My dad cracks me up!

Saturday evening we went to Second Dam and celebrated Grandpa Don's birthday!

That is a giant marshmallow. So big that we had to roast it twice.

I couldn't figure out why everyone's faces looked so weird...then I got it. The tin foil from the cake! Boo to making everyone look super old and wrinkly!

I'm pretty excited about Halloween coming up. Although, I'm not dressing up this year. It's weird not being at the school to see the kids getting all excited. I will definitely miss seeing their costumes too! Luckily I have the cutest nieces and nephews to make up for it!

grandma ronda

Daren's grandma passed away one week ago from Sunday. Her funeral was on Saturday. I didn't know Ronda very well since I usually only saw her about twice a year. But she was a very sweet woman and was loved very much.

Her funeral was very nice. Lots of tears and laughs...and a dry ice bomb that was set off on purpose. This is a true story. You see, grandma used to make "homemade" root beer. She would let it sit and sit and sit, until it was just perfect. That means it was totally fermented. All the boys love it. But they would let it sit for so long that you had to be VERY careful when opening it up or it would explode. So at her funeral a couple of her grandson's set up the dry ice bomb, let it off, and then blamed it on grandma's root beer. It was pretty funny.

Grandma Ronda will be missed but I know that we will see her again.

Grandma LOVED rocks. She had a huge rock garden and was always looking for new rocks. So all the grand kids and great-grand kids all put a rock on top of her casket.

We love you Grandma Ronda!

corn, concerts, and birthdays

Man oh man we have been busy!!

Last week we weren't home at all...well just to slept. It was a long week! We did some remodeling on Daren's parents house, mainly the front room, and it took longer than we thought. But it looks so GREAT! I wish I had before and after pictures. It seriously looks like a whole new room! We painted, new carpet got put in, and put some new trim around the windows. AMAZING! I think I spent a total of 12 hours painting last Wednesday, and that was just on Wednesday! It was intense. But it is done and it looks great!

We also harvested our corn! Holy crap! We got a TON of corn! We only planted 2 rows, normally we plant 3-4, but we got about 3 times as much corn! Oh the blessings!! We got 50 bags, which equates to about 150 cups of corn! Can you believe it?! We have seriously been so blessed with our garden this year! We had a smaller area to plant so I was a little nervous...but our little garden came through! We are still getting tomatoes  and in the next couple of weeks we will be doing some spaghetti sauce. WOOT!!

Last Friday night I went to the Rascal Flatts concert with my BFF's!! It was SO fun! About an hour before the concert started it started to rain...and then it stopped...and then it was a DOWNPOUR!! I have not seen rain like that in a LONG time! Plus, the thunder and lightening was right on top of each other. It was intense. We tried to run for cover but by the time we got down to the food area there was no room. We found a table with an umbrella but there were already people under it so it didn't do much good. So we booked it for the bathroom and hung out in the there with about 100 other people. It was pretty awesome. Luckily the rain stopped before the concert started. Thank heavens for my parents who also were at the concert but waited in the car til the rain stopped. They brought us dry blankets. LOVE THEM! The concert was AMAZING!! I love my bff's!!

Shan was LITERALLY ringing out Cheri's pants...

We also celebrated Haden's 2nd birthday. Last year he could have cared less about anything but this year he did so good! He loved opening his presents and he was giving everyone hugs and kisses. He was so cute! I sure do love him!

A dead grasshopper...he got distracted by it several times.

This is his cheesy smile. Isn't it so cute?

Last but not least, the Logan river is finally low enough that we can take Bear down to the puppy park and let him swim. He was SO happy!

I love this picture!

And this one too! My 2 favorite boys!

That's all from us at the moment!
