LAGOON!
That's right folks, I got my Lagoon fix yesterday! And it was AWESOME!
Every time I pull up to Lagoon I always get really nervous. I have so many thoughts running through my head. I hope nothing gets stolen today. I hope I don't lose my sunglasses on a ride. I hope I'm not one of those freak accident victims where my seat belt falls off and I die. I hope nobody don't get lost or kidnapped. I hope I don't get sick on the rides and barf. So many thoughts. Luckily, NONE of those things happened yesterday.
The first part of the day we did all the little kid rides so it wasn't too eventful. We ate lunch and then did the water rides. The lines either were REALLY short or went REALLY fast. Yay for going to Lagoon on a Thursday!
ANYWHO! After going on Rattlesnake Rapids...twice and then the Log Flume we decided to go on the BIG rides! WOOT! We were hoping Makayla and Luiz were big enough to ride them and they were! BARELY! Seriously. If you are under 46" you can't ride on them. They are right at 46". It was so fun going on the big roller coasters with them! I think a roller coaster demon was unleashed in them yesterday.HA! Our first time going on this big Luiz lifted up little Luiz to use him as an umbrella. It was SO hilarious.
This was the second time. Such good times!
By the time we started going on the big rides we only had about an hour before we had to leave so we only hit one side of the park. We took them on the Wild Mouse, the White Roller Coaster, the Colossus, and Wicked. Then we ended the day with the big Bumper Cars.Makayla and I were ride buddies. We got to either sit in the very front or very back on all but one of rides we went on. That is a small victory in my mind. By the way, the seat belts on this ride need a weight limit. Makayla made be tall enough but she is NOT heavy enough. There was SO much room between her and seat belt. I hung on to her for dear life during the ride.
Let me just that Wicked is my new favorite ride. It is WILD! Usually roller coasters start off slow when you are climbing up them, not this one! You start off FAST! You literally go straight UP and then straight DOWN...and of course all the turns and flips. It was SOO fun! My eyes were leaking from laughing and screaming so much during it.
Here are a few more pictures from the day...Kayzen and I were playing the these fountains and all of sudden water started shooting up in our faces. I grabbed the monkey and ran out of there. He was NOT happy but it was quite entertaining.
We were REALLY wet. Between these fountains and the water rides I'm REALLY glad I wore my swimming suit.
Sleeping monkey.
I LOVE this picture of him. It's so fitting. I believe those are mint Oreo's all over his face...pretty sure it's up his nose too.
I'm so glad I got to go! It was so fun! Although, I was sad that Daren didn't go (pretty sure he wasn't sad). :) I was happy to come home to him and the puppy!
Thanks Lagoon...til next year!

mud!
Occasionally, Daren and I let Bear outside to run around and we leave the door open. Bear is REALLY good about staying in the yard and we call for him every so often to make sure he isn't dead. WELL! Tonight was one of those nights. We let Bear out and he was running around like a happy little puppy. We called him in a few minutes later and he was all wet. We had turned the sprinkler out front on so we didn't think anything of it. About 15 minutes later Daren calls him back in and he is COVERED in mud! COVERED! Where in the CRAP did he find all of this mud?!?
I grabbed Daren a towel, he threw it over Bear, picked Bear up and dropped him in the tub because he DEFINITELY needed a bath.
I decided to document the event.
These are Daren's pants after he picked Bear up AND Bear had a towel wrapped around him.
Look at that sad puppy face :(

This was our tub after Bear's bath. SO GROSS! Daren cleaned it while he showered. :)
We still have NO idea where all the mud came from! We love our puppy. SO SPECIAL!

happy birthday america!
OH SNAP! I'm warning you, there are A LOT of pictures with this blog. 3 days worth!
The 4th of July is seriously one of my favorite holidays! I LOVE fireworks!
It all started on Thursday night. Daren and I, along with some of Daren's family, went up to our old stake center to watch the fireworks in Hyrum. It was so fun! We ate food and played games until the fireworks started going off. They were pretty far away but we could still see them. The puppy and kids played on the big hill we were sitting on. Kayzen couldn't quite figure out how the hill worked. He couldn't walk up it and when he tried to walk down he would just fall and roll. It was pretty funny, he thought it was funny too.I had to put my hood on because I looked like a REALLY homeless George Washington.
Playing Scrabble on a steep hill when the sun is going down = A good time!
Friday started like a dream! We slept in a little bit, I gave Daren a haircut, we had Einsteins and Jamba for lunch, we put chairs down to save our spot for the Cruise In, went to Walmart, and then made 8 batches of Rice Krispy treats. Seriously, 8. We put 4 batches in 2 HUGE pans. It was a good time! After the Rice Krispy treat extravaganza we headed over to James and Susi's for a BBQ and fireworks. Logan does their fireworks on the 3rd from the USU Stadium and James and Susi live right by the stadium. Their house is ideal for watching them without having to deal with all the people. ANYWHO! We let Bear play in the canal before everyone got there which he loves. He is finally learning how to swim and it is so adorable. It makes me a proud mama!I love this picture of Bear.
We ate LOTS of food and had a good time with everyone while we waited for the fireworks.
I love him...and his shirt. It's the same one I got Shannon's baby but in green.
He was really entertained by the bucket of ice. He kept eating it...sometimes he would share with Bear...and then eat it. Kayzen and Bear are becoming quite the buddies.
Once it got dark we did our own fireworks in the circle and had a mini Pop-It war.Puppy does NOT like fireworks. He hid under the chair most of the night.
After we were done with our own fireworks we got ready for the BIG ones! Jace and Ali got here just in time to see them too! They were so awesome! We turned on the radio so we could hear the patriotic songs playing while the fireworks were going off. It was so magical.
About half way through the fireworks Bear was so scared he was shaking. It was really sad so Daren took him back to the house. So me and Kayzen held each other and watched the fireworks. Baby K is the next best thing to cuddle with besides Daren.
After the fireworks we played with the sparklers. I REALLY love sparklers. I like to dance around them and pretend they are princess wands. This picture is so hilarious. The flames from the sparklers make me face so red, I look like Satan. AND THEN! Look at Susi's face! HA! We are so special!
The next morning Daren and I went to breakfast with Jace and Ali...and James and Susi joined us a little later.Aren't they so cute?! I heart them.
After breakfast Jace and Ali went back to Salt Lake, sad face. Then Daren and I and James and Susi went out to Hyrum's 4th of July parade. I LOVE small town parades. They are so fun and throw up the most random things! I think the most random thing was a steering wheel cover. It was so UGLY and somehow we ended up with it. We gave it to Bear and he loves it! I also decided being an adult at a parade is SO MUCH BETTER than a child. We didn't have to move at all during the parade and we still got to eat the candy. The little ones did all the work for us. SO IDEAL!Grandpa Don was HILARIOUS during the parade! He was yelling at everyone to throw him candy. He got a ton of it but I'm pretty sure he didn't eat a single piece. He just wanted to see if people would give him candy!
Bear even caught some candy....so we let him eat it.
LOOK AT THAT FACE!
After the parade Daren and headed home to get ready for my parents to come up! YAY! Once they got there we ate lunch, well it was probably more like dinner. Daren BBQ'd for us and it was SO DELICIOUS! After dinner we got ready to go to the Cruise In but not before we stopped at Casper's for some ice cream!
Our spot this year for the Cruise In was AWESOME! I loved it! It was right in the middle of the action plus it was shady all around us!Look how LOW this truck is! There was another one that was so low you could hear it scratching on the asphalt. I just don't understand the point of it...
This car is on it's side. Can you see the front tire? It's off the ground. Pretty wild.
After the Cruise In we said bye to my parents and then headed over to James and Susi and watched a movie. This was the sunset on Saturday. It was so beautiful! Daren and I ate a popsicle as we watched it...then I made him drive up higher on the mountain to get a better picture.
We had such an AWESOME weekend. It was full of food, friends, AND family!
Thanks America for being so awesome!
